I thought her secret husband was Czech!
From the reviews I gather that the Polish connections are about her admiration for Polish actors and directors and meeting with them to discuss film plans never to be brought into life. A Czechs biography of Dietrich would have more potential to tantalize, this one is maybe more about secret potential acting?
